Responsible for the maintenance and servicing of roads and other infrastructure assets, including roadway incident response and traffic restoration efforts. This role involves working on roadways, medians, signs, guardrails, fences, bridges, tunnels, vegetation management, litter removal, and drainage systems, adhering to contract standards and supervisor directives. Requirements

  • A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Must be able to obtain Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) certification within three (3) months of hire.
  • Must be able to complete National Incident Management System (NIMS) training within the first month of hire.
  • Must be available to respond to traffic incidents within the allotted timeframe as outlined in the project's contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of the standard methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in concrete, asphalt repair, construction, and maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of technology (Smartphones).
  • Two (2) years' work experience in infrastructure, maintenance, or repair environment.
  • Commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A.
  • Towing and driving history with three (3) years of CDL Class A experience in manual transmission.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain clean appearance of highways and medians, including removal and disposal of litter and debris.
  • Maintain and repair roadway and other surfaces by filling potholes, replacing striping, installing and replacing reflectors, and working on concrete.
  • Perform basic maintenance and repair of roadway assets and equipment rooms, including portals, railings, expansion joints, doors, and painting.
  • Maintain appearance and functionality of roadway signs, guardrail, fencing, and roadway lighting through repair or replacement using hand or power tools.
  • Transport crew and equipment to work sites operating large trucks, specialized motor vehicles, and trailers.
  • Create safe Maintenance of Traffic (M.O.T) control by setting up and removing traffic control devices such as cones, message/arrow boards, and temporary signage.
  • Create safe Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) zones, including the setup and removal of traffic control devices.
  • Assist law enforcement officers in managing traffic or roadway-related incidents.
  • Work from heights in bucket trucks, scaffolding, ladders, and aerial platforms lifts.
  • Positively contribute to a diverse, inclusive, and fair work environment, free from discrimination, bullying, and harassment.
  • Carry out all duties in line with Company policies and procedures.
  • Be available and accessible for emergency response rotations, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and procedural requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
