Roadway Field Inspector

Arcadis•Nashville, TN
•$38,160 - $57,240

About The Position

Arcadis seeks a Roadway Field Inspector to join its Tennessee Maintenance Engineering and Inspections (MEI) Team. The position conducts condition assessments of roadway and drainage assets across Tennessee in support of maintenance and asset management programs. Inspected assets include drainage culverts and pipes, roadway pavement, shoulders, paved and unpaved ditches, guardrails, signage, and vegetation. Inspection results help determine asset service levels and inform future maintenance planning. The role is part of the Global Mobility Business Area, which works with clients to design connected cities and communities and develop sustainable mobility solutions. The inspector reads and follows applicable inspection manuals, assesses drainage asset conditions, and records accurate descriptions and photographs in a mobile application. The work is performed independently and requires efficient time management. Assets are located statewide on Interstates and State Routes; the inspector uses mobile applications to locate them, traverses slopes and terrain, and clears vegetation when needed to obtain clear inspection photos. The position involves driving several hours each day, with that driving time included in paid time. Travel will be arranged for inspections that cannot otherwise be completed efficiently. The inspector maintains provided field equipment, mobile device, and fleet vehicle according to company standards and maintenance protocols.
