We are currently seeking an experienced Roadway Engineer to join our team in our Raleigh, NC office.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• 5-10 years of experience in roadway engineering (candidates with significant relevant experience but fewer years will also be considered)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina preferred
• Proficiency with design software including MicroStation, OpenRoads
• Strong oral and written communication skills at all organizational levels
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multi-office teams
• Ability to lead and manage multiple projects, assignments, and teams
• Positive, cooperative attitude as both a team leader and team player
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of engineers on the planning and design of transportation projects in ND.
• Design of horizontal and vertical alignments.
• Development of roadway plans and profiles.
• Roadside evaluation elements.
• Maintenance of traffic design.
• Preparation of construction plans, specifications, cost estimates.
• Development of technical reports.
• Intersection and interchange designs.
• New roadway alignments.
• Roadway widenings, roundabouts, interstates and pedestrian bicycle facilities.
