About The Position

Multi-state design firm is seeking a Senior Roadway Engineer for their team in Phoenix! This role involves providing high-level project design and review, applying advanced engineering concepts to solve complex issues, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality designs that meet project objectives. The engineer will also conduct research, advise staff on design approaches, and contribute to the development of engineering standards. Additionally, this position includes supervising and mentoring less experienced staff and building client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• 6+ years of engineering experience
• PE License
• Proficient with Open Roads Designer software
• Knowledge of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and codes
• Project management/organizational skills
• Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Provides high-level project design/review of project documents and design quality
• Apply advanced engineering concepts to solve complex issues
• Ensure delivery of completed designs that meet quality standards and project objectives
• Conducts research in areas of considerable scope and complexity
• Advise/direct staff on design approaches to fulfill project requirements
• Works collaboratively to promote efficiencies and produce high quality work
• Contribute to the development of standards and/or guidelines for engineering activities within the team
• Supervise/reviews technical assignments of less experienced staff
• Mentor/train junior staff
• Build/maintain client relationships
