Roadway Engineer
About The Position
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Roadway Engineer to join our Roads & Highways Central Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Austin, TX. The role involves performing work that includes conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment for diversified engineering projects or phases of a single project with relatively few complex features. It requires analysis, interpretation, and deductive reasoning. The engineer will exercise independent judgment on regular assignments, receive instructions on specific assignment objectives and complex features, and have their work reviewed for sound professional judgment, with assistance provided for unusual problems. They will also coordinate with and/or guide the work of junior professionals, technicians, and others, and interface with senior technical professionals and technical managers.
Requirements
- 0-2 Years of professional experience in a related technical field
- Completion of Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering degree from an ABET accredited college/university
- Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.
- Technical writing, computer and communications skills required
- EIT required and working towards attaining PE license
Nice To Haves
- CAD and MicroStation skills preferred
