Parsons is now hiring a Roadway Engineer I to join our Altamonte Springs office to support major regional transportation infrastructure projects! This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
  • 3+ years of related work experience with road and highway projects
  • Proficiency in utilizing AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation Geopak and/or OpenRoads, is required
  • Demonstrated communication skills and the willingness to foster a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate often with senior engineers, perform various roadway engineering and design assignments requiring the application of engineering techniques, procedures and design criteria for projects ranging in size and complexity
  • Utilize drafting and modeling software, tools, and programs, to develop conceptual and detailed designs
  • Perform design calculations including material quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates
  • Assist in the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications for assigned projects
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts
