Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Georgia PE license.
  • 10-15+ years of roadway design experience.
  • Strong knowledge of AASHTO and State DOT design standards.
  • Management acumen including budgeting, scheduling, job tracking, client interaction and staff management.
  • Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to forge strong relationships with clients, partners and your team members.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and commitment to team success.

Nice To Haves

  • GDOT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of roadway improvement projects for state, county, and municipal clients across Georgia.
  • Manage projects including new location corridors, roadway widening, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, highway safety enhancements, intersections and interchanges, and design-build projects.
  • Guide projects through all phases—from advanced planning to final design and construction support.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-quality, on-budget solutions.
  • Overall management of transportation infrastructure improvement projects of varying complexity across Georgia.
  • Provide professional engineering design services for transportation improvement projects.
  • Oversee development of construction plans, specifications, estimates and detailed engineering calculations.
  • Collaborate with clients, subconsultants, and internal teams to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Direct and mentor design support staff, fostering technical growth and alignment.
  • Conduct engineering investigations and feasibility analyses using collected data.
  • Evaluate alternative design solutions and contribute to critical decision-making.
