About The Position
Join AECOM’s Transportation team in Atlanta and contribute to the delivery of roadway projects that improve safety, mobility, and connectivity across Georgia. As a Roadway Design Engineer, you will support the development of roadway designs through engineering analysis, modeling, and plan production, while working closely with lead engineers and project managers on a wide range of transportation projects. This position offers a hybrid work option.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related discipline and 2 years of related roadway project management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Nice To Haves
- Georgia PE License or ability to receive within 12 months.
- Five years of experience designing roadway projects.
- Experience designing Georgia roadway projects.
Responsibilities
- Produce roadway design calculations, models, plan sheets, quantities, and cost estimates.
- Perform self-checks and resolve comments to ensure accuracy and consistency of deliverables.
- Support Lead Engineers with technical analyses and design development.
- Apply GDOT standards and requirements to assigned tasks.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to support integrated project delivery.
- Track individual task assignments, schedule, and level of effort.
- Proactively identify and communicate technical issues or risks.
