JOB SUMMARY LIVIC Civil is expanding, and we’re looking for a Roadway Design Engineer to play a key role in our growing transportation department! This full-time position performs engineering design and analysis for transportation projects and supports the development of PS&E deliverables. This role applies sound engineering judgement, coordinates design tasks across disciplines, and supports QA/QC to help ensure compliance with agency standards and project requirements. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or closely related)
  • 4+ years of progressive roadway/transportation design experience.
  • Proficiency with Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
  • Knowledge of DOT/municipal standards and PS&E deliverables.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • PE license (Pennsylvania or the ability to obtain within 6 months)
  • EIT
  • PennDOT project experience
  • Travel to other offices as needed
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered (including an Associate degree with additional relevant experience); EIT required for non-BS paths.

Responsibilities

  • Perform roadway design tasks and technical evaluations under applicable standards.
  • Support geometric design elements and coordinate plan development with designers.
  • Participate in QA/QC and design review comment resolution.
  • Support preparation of technical documentation, exhibits, and reports.
  • Coordinate with PMs/engineers to meet project milestones.
