As a Roadway Design Engineer II, you will be instrumental in developing roadway designs through engineering analysis, modeling, and detailed plan production. You will work closely with Lead Engineers and Project Managers on a diverse range of transportation projects, gaining exposure to intricate challenges and innovative solutions. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related discipline and 2 years of related roadway project management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Nice To Haves
- Georgia PE License (or ability to obtain)
- 5 years of experience designing roadway projects
- Experience designing Georgia roadway projects
Responsibilities
- Produce roadway design calculations, models, plan sheets, quantities, and cost estimates
- Perform self-checks and resolve comments to ensure accuracy and consistency of deliverables
- Support Lead Engineers with technical analyses and design development
- Apply GDOT standards and requirements to assigned tasks
- Coordinate with other disciplines to support integrated project delivery
- Track individual task assignments, schedule, and level of effort
- Proactively identify and communicate technical issues or risks
