About The Position

Zingerman’s Roadhouse is hiring a Roadshow/To-Go Area Floor Leader! This is a full-time position, working 32-35 hours per week. The role requires availability for at least four AM (6:30 am - 2:30 pm) and PM (2 pm - 10/11 pm) shifts, including weekend availability. The Floor Leader will be responsible for greeting guests, delivering the Zingerman’s Experience, assisting with SOP drafting, leading by example, and managing ordering for their shifts. They will also be knowledgeable about all menu items, including wines and specialty beverages, and stay updated on Roadshow communications. The role involves addressing staff performance issues, preparing Roadshow menu items and espresso beverages, leading cleaning efforts for the Roadshow and Front of House areas, and completing supervisor training. The Floor Leader will actively participate in various meetings and maintain positive communication with the management team. They are expected to stay until shift needs are met and inspire teamwork.

Requirements

Successfully utilizes front of house operating systems using appropriate and available technology
Demonstrates a passion for serving all Walk-Up, Roadhouse Park, Drive-Thru, and Phone guests while using the 3 Steps to Giving Great Service and 5 Steps to Handling a Customer Complaint
Has experience and success in training and coaching staff members in the moment
Has a reputation for excellent relations with all staff

Responsibilities

Greets all guests and delivers the Zingerman’s Experience to everyone
Helps with the SOP drafting process of new systems and leads by example
Does all ordering for the shifts they lead in proper timing
Speaks knowledgeably about all menu items, including wines and specialty beverages
Keeps up-to-date on Roadshow Slack and ZCoB Email
Staff performance issues are swiftly written up and PU’s delivered
Able to quickly learn (if not already knowledgeable) how to prepare all Roadshow menu items and espresso beverages
Leads Roadshow/To-Go area staff in cleaning and maintaining all Roadshow and Front of the House areas, furniture, equipment and fixtures, coordinating with the FOH and BOH on all the above
Completes Supervisor Passport within the stated time frames and continues to live the Training Compact.
Actively participates in 1+1 Work
Attends the RS Supervisor Meeting, FOH Manager/Supervisor meeting and All-Staff huddle each week in addition to monthly Roadshow meetings and Service Group, when able
Consistently writes shift notes in a timely manner after every shift they lead
Establishes and maintains good communication and a positive working relationship with the Roadhouse management team and Managing Partner
Stays until shift needs are met, effective morning transition to PM Supervisor or coordinated effort with closing Front of the House manager
Inspires co-workers and staff to work effectively as a team
