About The Position
The Roads Labourer plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of municipal infrastructure. This position performs a variety of manual labour tasks in support of municipal services, including road maintenance, waste management, and general operations. The Roads Labourer is responsible for helping ensure that public spaces such as roads, sidewalks, and municipal grounds are well maintained, clean, and free of hazards. Duties include assisting with road work such as culvert installation and drainage improvements, performing traffic control during road maintenance activities, and supporting cemetery operations during burials. The role requires a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment under varying weather conditions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in municipal services, construction, public works, or manual labor is an asset
- A Criminal record Check is required for the position
