About The Position

Reporting to the Safety Manager, the Road Supervisor is responsible for ensuring quality-of-service delivery in the field as well as Driver In-House retraining using Beacon Transit Team’s State-of-the-art AI technology LYTX. This position is reporting in Burnsville, MN and is open to all that apply. The ideal candidate is someone who has extensive professional driving experience, an impeccable attendance record and enjoys working directly with professional drivers to ensure safe and efficient transportation.

Requirements

  • No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new software, for scheduling and dispatching.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and DOT medical card.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional coursework in Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
  • CDL with passenger endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the performance and conduct of drivers ensuring adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor daily operations, including driver schedules, route efficiency, and service quality. Address and resolve operational issues in real-time.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including FTA/DOT ADA requirements.
  • Address passenger complaints and concerns promptly and effectively. Promote a positive image of Transit Team in all interactions.
  • Provide training and guidance to drivers and staff. Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Respond to and manage incidents and emergencies on the road. Prepare and submit detailed incident reports.
  • Participate in the management and enforcement of the Drug & Alcohol testing process, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with dispatchers, schedulers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
