The Road Supervisor will provide direct oversight of vehicle operators on the street, ensuring service is provided per contract with CapMetro. This role requires flexibility with scheduling, including split shifts, weekends, and holidays. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring operators are fit for duty, meet uniform and equipment standards, and possess proper licensing and certifications. They will also assist dispatch and maintenance with vehicle change-outs, help operators with service or passenger problems, and conduct site checks and road observations. Monitoring on-time performance, schedule adherence, and identifying potential safety hazards are key aspects of this position. The role also involves following company safety and operational rules, handling emergency situations, and investigating vehicle accidents. Additionally, the Road Supervisor will inspect vehicles for damage and compliance, observe driver skills, and support record-keeping systems. There may be instances where the Road Supervisor acts as a vehicle operator.
