About The Position

Best Line Equipment is seeking an experienced Road Service Technician to join their Muncy, PA service team. This is an independent, field-based position for a technician who enjoys diagnosing problems, solving challenging equipment issues, and working directly at customer job sites. The role involves working on a wide variety of construction and industrial equipment with the support of an experienced service team, parts department, technical resources, and manufacturer training. Road technicians typically service customers within a 100-mile radius of the Muncy location and are provided with a company service vehicle, company-paid fuel, laptop, cell phone, and other field-service equipment.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a comparable mechanical/technical field.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage field service calls effectively.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
  • High School diploma/equivalent or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, service, inspect, and maintain all types of construction, landscape, heavy, aerial, industrial, agricultural, and fleet equipment.
  • Travel to job sites and customer locations to perform duties.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel-related problems.
  • Use diagnostic equipment, schematics, service manuals, and technical resources to identify equipment issues and determine the appropriate repair.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and equipment adjustments.
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment condition, repairs, and recommended service.
  • Complete service documentation, work orders, warranty claims, and related paperwork accurately.
  • Work independently while maintaining communication with the service department and other Best Line team members.
  • Stay current on new equipment, technology, diagnostic procedures, and manufacturer requirements.
