About The Position

This role involves making electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators and loaders. Applicants should have extensive experience with heavy diesel equipment repair. The work environment is a physically demanding active construction site where you must be able to work safely around heavy equipment and construction traffic. You will regularly work outdoors and may be exposed to the elements—be it heat, cold, rain, snow, or wind. The work environment frequently involves exposure to moving mechanical equipment, high noise levels, dust, fumes, airborne particles, vibrations, and potential electrical hazards. Safety is a top priority, requiring consistent wear of all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and strict adherence to safety policies and procedures. This is a high-performance environment requiring flexibility to work extended hours, especially during critical project phases or client deadlines. Requirements

Extensive experience with heavy diesel equipment repair.
Proficient in reading electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Knowledge of DOT truck and trailer inspections.
Willing to join International Union of Operating Engineers Local 77.
High School education or equivalent.
Have your own transportation (no public transportation available).
Great people and communication skills.
Organized.
Have own hand tools.
Able to work outdoors in all types of weather and uneven surfaces.
Able to lift 50lbs.
Willingness to learn additional responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
Welding certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic problems for all types of construction equipment.
Assess all equipment to determine cause of issues or failures.
Other duties assigned by management.
