The Road Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating customer shipments using contracted rates and ensuring capacity with qualified carriers and partners. This role supports transport activities by managing bookings, preparing documentation, and ensuring compliance with transit requirements and ground transport regulations.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in transportation
• 1+ year of experience in supply chain operations
• Familiarity with transportation industry systems
• Understanding of transport modes and guidelines (dry van, reefer, flatbed, expedite, LTL)
• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Coordinates shipment bookings and ensures all documentation meets transit and regulatory requirements
• Communicates with shippers to confirm shipment details and dispatch pickups
• Monitors shipment progress and updates status to ensure timely delivery
• Schedules pickup and delivery appointments and manages customer service interactions
• Collaborates with carriers (dry van, flatbed, temperature-controlled) to ensure load execution
• Facilitates communication between shippers, carriers, and customers to provide tactical solutions that enhance daily operations
