About The Position

This role is responsible for assisting with daily transportation and traffic flow operations, supporting various transportation services, and ensuring safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians. The operator will also provide guest assistance, monitor operations, and maintain communication with supervisors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required
  • Previous transportation, traffic control, security, hospitality, or event operations experience preferred
  • Ability to safely operate golf carts, shuttles, trolleys, or utility vehicles preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-traffic or high-stress situations
  • Ability to positively motivate and lead a team, conveying information and ideas clearly and effectively so that ownership of high levels of guest service is understood to be the role of each individual team member.
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work well in high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and objectivity, including the ability to listen carefully to and resolve guest issues to the satisfaction of the affected guests.
  • Ability to identify potential guest issues and then develop methodologies to prevent or limit the impact of those guest issues during guest visits.
  • Ability to assimilate complex information and data for various sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the need.
  • Ability to effectively listen to, understand, and clarify concerns and issues raised by team members and guests.
  • Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and perform basic math functions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily transportation and traffic flow operations throughout the property
  • Support shuttle, trolley, tram, and special event transportation services
  • Set up, monitor, and remove traffic control devices including cones, barricades, signs, and lane closures
  • Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic during high-volume events and peak operational periods
  • Coordinate with Public Safety and event staff regarding road closures, emergency access, and transportation routing
  • Monitor loading and unloading zones to maintain safe operations
  • Provide guests with directions, event information, and transportation assistance
  • Assist with parking operations during festivals, weddings, holiday events, and special activities
  • Conduct routine inspections of assigned vehicles and report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Maintain radio communication with dispatch and supervisors
  • Respond professionally to changing operational needs and weather conditions
  • Assist with ADA transportation accommodations when required
  • Support emergency response and evacuation procedures as directed
