About The Position

Primoris Heavy Civil is growing and is looking for experienced Road Carpenters to join their team in the Belton area. The ideal candidate will have experience in building and installing form structures of wood, patent form systems, or a combination of both. This is a hands-on, field-based position focused on forming and framing concrete structures for highways, bridges, and municipal infrastructure. Requirements

Experience in building and installing form structures of wood, patent form systems, or a combination of both.
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (assistance recommended for heavier loads).
Work extended hours on foot, including on uneven or rough surfaces.
Climb ladders, kneel, crawl, or work at heights and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

Constructs, erects, installs, fabricates, dismantles, and repairs structures, formwork, and fixtures of wood, metal forms, and associated accessories.
Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
Selects type and size of related materials according to job specifications.
Studies blueprints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to type of material required and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated.
Selects specified type of lumber or other materials.
Prepares layouts including lines and grade.
Marks cutting and assembly lines on materials.
Shapes materials to prescribed measurements.
Constructs forms and chutes for pouring concrete.
Assembles cut and shaped materials and fastens them together.
Fabricates from work then loads, hauls, and carries it to the job site and installs per drawings, sketches, or plans.
Places and finishes concrete in formwork and sets and aligns form panels.
Sets grout forms for epoxy and cement grout.
