RNA Analysis - NGS Intern
About The Position
Zymo Research is looking for a dynamic individual to join our RNA Analysis NGS team. This is an exciting opportunity to explore the impact of cutting-edge RNA-seq technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently executing experiments, compiling data, and communicating research findings. You will be mentored by a senior team member to support and effectively guide your contributions to research project objectives. The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated learner, an effective team player, and possess a strong interest in learning about NGS methods. The successful candidate should have a thorough conceptual understanding of RNA biology and RNA-seq in addition to first-hand experience performing RNA-seq methods. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology or related field.
- 2+ year experience in an academic or industry lab.
- Experience with standard molecular biology techniques i.e. PCR, qRT-PCR
- First-hand experience constructing RNA-seq libraries.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform and optimize RNA-seq library construction workflows
- Analyze and interpret NGS sequencing data
- Independently review literature and plan experiments
- Communicate results with the rest of the team
