RN - Family Birth Place/LDRP
About The Position
Join Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital, a Magnet Hospital recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center for excellence in professional nursing practice. The RN works in the Family Birth Place/LDRP unit, caring for mothers and newborns through labor, vaginal delivery, recovery, postpartum care, and well-newborn care. The role involves direct interaction with patients and their families, supporting their experience and providing healthcare education as needed. The caregiver works night and on-call shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with weekend and holiday requirements. The position requires following standard precautions and using personal protective equipment as required. Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program).
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
- For a Critical Care area, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the AHA or ALS through the American Red Cross must be presented upon hire or within the first year of employment.
- One year of current acute care RN experience or licensed military RN experience.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
- Educate patients and their families.
- Care for mothers and newborns through labor, vaginal delivery, recovery, postpartum care, and well-newborn care.
