About The Position

We are seeking experienced Telemetry RNs who are accustomed to a 1:4 patient ratio and have experience in step-down units. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of telemetry experience in a hospital setting and a strong understanding of cardioversions and transesophageal echocardiograms. We have observed issues with Med-Surg/Tele RNs not being accustomed to the higher acuity often seen in our telemetry units.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in telemetry in a hospital setting.
• Proficiency in understanding cardioversions.
• Proficiency in understanding transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Experience with a 1:4 patient ratio.
• Experience in step-down units.

Responsibilities

• Conduct EKG testing on site during orientation.
• Provide care for patients in a telemetry unit with a 1:4 patient ratio.
• Manage patients with higher acuity than typically seen in Med-Surg/Tele units.
• Perform and understand cardioversions.
• Perform and understand transesophageal echocardiograms.
