About The Position

Bristol Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department at Bristol Hospital Main Campus in Bristol, Connecticut. The position is full-time and listed at $40.00–$62.50 per hour. The nurse will use their expertise, compassion, and kindness to support patient care and experience. The role requires completing general orientation and ongoing mandated training, as well as unit-based competencies. The nurse must be willing to float or be reassigned to another department, unit, office, or location as needed.

Requirements

BSN or associate degree.
Current Connecticut RN license in good standing.
Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS, and PALS.
Complete general orientation at hire and annual Fire/Safety/Infection Control education.
Hold Health Care Provider CPR from the American Heart Association.
Successfully complete training programs determined by the Education & HRD department and other unit-based competencies as required.
Successfully complete the unit-based competency package and unit-specific requirements.
Strong team skills.
Willingness to float or be reassigned to another department, unit, office, or location as needed.
Meet the stated physical requirements, including repeatedly lifting more than 50 pounds throughout the workday.

Nice To Haves

One year of clinical nursing experience in an acute or subacute care environment is preferred.
Certification from a professional nursing body is preferred.
