About The Position

ProMedica has implemented a tiered-model structure for nurses, offering flexible work schedules including full-time, part-time, and per diem options. The Registered Nurse (RN) is a crucial part of ProMedica’s patient care team, dedicated to providing patient-centered care with sensitivity and respect for diversity, aiming to improve health outcomes for patients and communities. As a coordinator of patient care, the RN will engage with patients, families, and the healthcare team through open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making. Responsibilities include assessing, formulating nursing diagnoses, and planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans. RNs are expected to collaborate with colleagues and support staff to achieve patient care goals and enhance patient and staff satisfaction. A Tier 4 Resource Pool RN is specifically required to work in multiple specialties across all participating hospitals within the Resource Pool model, including Toledo Hospital, Flower Hospital, Bay Park Hospital, Fremont Memorial Hospital, Fostoria Community Hospital, and Monroe Regional Hospital. ProMedica is a mission-driven, not-for-profit health care organization based in Toledo, Ohio, serving communities across nine states with a range of services, 10 hospitals, and over 1,300 employed healthcare providers.

Requirements

  • Current State license as a Registered Nurse
  • Current CPR training
  • Specialty certifications as required by individual nursing units
  • Completion of twenty-four contact hours of continuing education during his/her licensure period, with at least 1 hour related to Chapter 4723 of the Ohio nurse practice code and rules
  • A Tier 4 Resource Pool RN will be required to be available to work in multiple specialties at all participating hospitals utilizing the Resource Pool model
