About The Position

ProMedica has implemented a tiered-model structure for nurses, offering flexible work schedules including full-time, part-time, and per diem options. This Resource Pool model aims to foster staff development, enhance patient care, and address staffing needs across hospitals. The Registered Nurse (RN) is central to ProMedica’s patient care team, delivering patient-centered care with sensitivity and respect for diverse human experiences, and is committed to improving health outcomes for patients and communities. As the coordinator of a patient’s care plan, the RN will engage with patients, families, and the healthcare team through open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making. The role involves assessing, formulating nursing diagnoses, and planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans. RNs will collaborate with colleagues and support staff to achieve patient care goals and work towards improving patient care, the work environment, and patient and staff satisfaction. ProMedica is a mission-driven, not-for-profit healthcare organization based in Toledo, Ohio, serving communities across nine states. It offers a variety of services, including acute and ambulatory care, a dental plan, and academic business lines. ProMedica operates 10 hospitals and has an affiliated interest in another, employing over 1,300 healthcare providers and having more than 2,300 physicians and advanced practice providers with privileges. The organization is recognized nationally for its clinical excellence and efforts to address social determinants of health.

Requirements

  • Current State license as a Registered Nurse
  • Current CPR training
  • Specialty certifications as required by individual nursing units
  • Complete twenty-four contact hours of continuing education during his/her licensure period (for RNs in Ohio)
  • At least 1 hour of contact hours must be related to Chapter 4723 of the Ohio nurse practice code and rules
  • Be available to work at all participating hospitals utilizing the Resource Pool model including Toledo Hospital, Flower Hospital, Bay Park Hospital, Fremont Memorial Hospital, Fostoria Community Hospital and Monroe Regional Hospital (for a Tier 3 Resource Pool RN)
