About The Position

ProMedica has implemented a tiered-model structure for nurses, including full-time, part-time, and per diem options, designed to offer greater flexibility in work schedules. This Resource Pool model aims to foster staff development, enhance patient care, and effectively address staffing shortages within its hospitals. The Registered Nurse (RN) is central to ProMedica’s patient care team, committed to delivering patient-centered care with sensitivity and respect for diverse human experiences. ProMedica nurses are dedicated to improving health outcomes for both patients and the communities they serve. In this role, the RN acts as the coordinator of a patient’s care plan, engaging with patients, families, and the healthcare team through open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making. Key responsibilities include assessing and formulating nursing diagnoses, and subsequently planning, implementing, and evaluating the effectiveness of care plans. The RN will collaborate with fellow nurses and support staff to achieve patient care goals and will actively contribute to improving patient care, the work environment, and overall patient and staff satisfaction. ProMedica itself is a mission-driven, not-for-profit health care organization based in Toledo, Ohio, serving communities across nine states. It offers a wide array of services, including acute and ambulatory care, a dental plan, and academic business lines. The organization operates 10 hospitals and has an affiliated interest in an additional hospital, employing over 1,300 healthcare providers through ProMedica Physicians and granting privileges to more than 2,300 physicians and advanced practice providers. ProMedica is recognized nationally for its clinical excellence and its efforts to address social determinants of health.
