About The Position

This is a Cardiac step-down unit from CSSU and IVCU, which also handles med/surg tele and stroke overflow. The unit has 20 beds and a patient ratio of 5:1. The unit is staffed by 4 RN teams with a free CNC, 2 LNAs, and a Unit Clerk. Equipment includes IV pumps, sara steady's, Hiflo, bipap, and Kangroo pumps. Documentation is done via Meditech Expanse. Scheduling requires 3 x 12-hour shifts and every other weekend or a 4-week shift. The hospital is a Stemi Hospital, Stroke Center, and Level II Trauma Center.

Requirements

• Proficient in Telemetry
• Advanced skills needed
• ASLS certification
• BLS certification

Nice To Haves

• Can NOT take patients post Cath lab unless radial artery used
• Chest pain r/o
