About The Position

This is a 13-week temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse (RN) in Smithfield, Virginia. The role involves assigning duties to staff, engaging team members for optimal performance, and developing, implementing, and evaluating resident plans of care. The nurse will communicate care plans, identify changes in condition, and ensure quality resident care is delivered while maintaining resident privacy and dignity.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Ability to manage a typical nursing unit
• Proficiency in documentation following the Interact process
• Understanding of resident privacy and dignity policies

Responsibilities

• Assigns duties to professional and non-professional staff according to education, training, policy and resident need.
• Engages team members for optimal performance and addresses performance as needed to assure quality resident care is delivered.
• Develops, implements and evaluates resident plans of care.
• Communicates plan of care to providers, residents, families and staff.
• Identifies changes in condition with proper documentation following the Interact process.
• Demonstrates consistent follow through for positive resident outcomes.
• Utilizes good judgment and specialized skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to manage a typical nursing unit.
• Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity.
