About The Position

This is a critical care position in a high volume/high acuity trauma center. The unit has 31 beds plus 6 hallway beds when needed. The patient ratio is 4:1. The documentation system used is Meditech/EDM. The scheduling requirement is 3 twelve-hour shifts per week. Floating is required as needed.

Requirements

• RN with critical care, trauma, burn and pediatric experience a plus
• TNCC
• ENPC
• PALS
• ACLS
• BLS
• 2+ Years of Hospital Experience
• NIH REQUIRED
• Active TX RN License Or compact license
• Must have great patient interaction

Nice To Haves

• Experience with High Volume, High Acuity Strokes
• Experience with Burns
• Experience with Trauma
• Meditech experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a high volume/high acuity trauma center.
• Manage patient care with a 4:1 patient ratio.
• Document patient care using Meditech/EDM.
• Float as needed.
• Perform traumas, conscious sedation, and administer tPA for strokes.
• Provide great patient interaction.
