About The Position

Our client, a retail pharmacy company, is seeking an RN for its Mishawaka, Indiana location. The role may be suited to a nurse with experience in primary care, urgent care, or an emergency room. The nurse provides patient care, assesses and monitors health conditions, administers medications, supports patients with healthcare access and self-management, and documents care in electronic health records. The nurse also helps maintain an organized, clean, and well-stocked clinic.

Requirements

• Previous experience in primary care, urgent care, or an emergency room.
• At least one year of related work experience in a healthcare setting.
• Experience with phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Verifiable high school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.
• RN license in the state of work.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Epic electronic medical records is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral, injectable, intravenous, and topical medications.
• Evaluate complex patient conditions, monitor pain levels, and document treatment responses.
• Monitor vital signs and identify and record abnormalities in blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature.
• Perform routine assessments to monitor patient health and overall well-being.
• Manage patient access to healthcare and connect individuals with community resources for medication administration, self-care techniques, and disease management.
• Conduct medication reviews to identify potential side effects and drug interactions.
• Develop and administer mental health assessments to screen for depression and evaluate mood, behavior, and cognitive function.
• Document patient medical history—including illnesses, medications, allergies, surgeries, and family history—in electronic health records.
• Communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Keep the clinic organized, well stocked, and clean.
