About The Position

The RN serves as the primary care coordinator for interdisciplinary patient care activities and manages patients throughout their continuum of care at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The nurse is responsible and accountable for high-quality patient care through the nursing process: assessing patients’ physical, psychosocial, and educational needs; designing a collaborative plan of care; implementing the plan with appropriate delegation of tasks; coordinating the team’s efforts; and evaluating patient progress toward outcomes.

The RN acts as a patient and family advocate and seeks opportunities to communicate and coordinate care throughout the continuum in collaboration with other members of the Health Care Team. This part-time role requires day shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as pre-assigned holidays.
