Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted RN license in Connecticut is required.
  • Current CPR and IV certifications are required.
  • Geriatric/rehabilitation experience with a good understanding of restorative nursing is required.
  • Resume must be submitted with application.
  • Must be able to pass preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.

Responsibilities

  • Administering high quality, accurate, and person-centered nursing care to all assigned residents on his/her shift.
  • Accurate and timely administration of medications and treatments.
  • Observational and clinical documentation.
  • Assisting in emergency calls.
  • Updating Supervisors of changes.
  • Assists in the supervision and direct care of residents and nursing personnel.
  • Administers direct care as assigned.
  • Gives and receives reports.
  • Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in residents’ condition.
  • Assists in developing comprehensive care plans
