About The Position

This is a Registered Nurse position in Med Surg. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience and BLS certification from AHA. The nurse will consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Responsibilities include preparing and administering prescribed medications, reporting adverse reactions, educating patients on surgical procedures, and recording patient medical information and vital signs. This is a travel position with a start date of ASAP, ratios of 1:6-7, and weekend requirements. First-timers and travelers needing to float within scope to like units are accepted. Block schedules can be accommodated. Locals within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted. Pending licenses are accepted. There are no RTO restrictions, but the traveler can be called off once per pay period. Remaining shifts are guaranteed. The facility is a rehabilitation hospital with 91 total staffed beds and is a teaching hospital. Charting is done via Epic, and parking is free.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience required.
BLS – AHA Required.
Traveler's permanent address cannot be local within 50 miles of the facility.
