About The Position

This role involves providing direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. The nurse will administer medications, monitor patients, and educate them on procedures. Recording patient information and vital signs, as well as managing specialized equipment, are key aspects of this position. Nurses will be required to float to multiple medical-surgical units.

Responsibilities

• Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications.
• Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
• Educates patients on surgical procedures.
• Records patients’ medical information and vital signs.
• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients and interprets and records electronic displays.
