About The Position
Good Samaritan University Hospital is a 537-bed teaching hospital and a member of Catholic Health. Requirements
- 1+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in a Critical Care (Neuro ICU, CCU, ICU, CTICU, CVICU, etc.) or step-down unit
- Cardiac and invasive monitoring knowledge and arrhythmia interpretation skills required
- New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
Nice To Haves
- Passion for the Neuro ICU / Neuro Step-Down
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) preferred
Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for interventional, stroke, and neuro-surgical patients.
- Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.
