This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) who will work full-time, with shifts from 3pm-11pm, specifically 2:45pm-11:15pm. The role also requires working every other holiday and weekends as scheduled. The RN is expected to be a role model, demonstrating creativity, positivity, enthusiasm, confidentiality, teamwork, problem-solving, and interactivity. They will lead by setting high standards, promoting a positive work community, and shaping staff into future leaders through training, education, evaluation, and guidance. Effective communication, both verbal and written, is crucial for interacting with staff, physicians, residents, and guests, as well as for documenting policies, procedures, medical information, and care plans. The RN will assess the quality of resident care through rounds, chart reviews, and inspection tours, and must possess knowledge of and ability to implement state and federal regulations. Management and supervision of nursing operations include scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and commending employees, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards. The role involves supervising and supporting nursing staff, including N.A. trainees in the clinical setting, and promoting resident care as defined in individual care plans. Participation in the development and implementation of clinical and administrative policies and performance standards is expected. Continuous learning is encouraged through attending meetings, seminars, conferences, workshops, and higher education courses, as well as reading professional journals. In the absence of department heads and administrators, the RN may need to manage or make decisions concerning other departments and their employees. The position requires recognizing and actively participating in the organization's Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) efforts, including attending trainings, carrying out assigned roles and responsibilities, following established policies, sharing ideas for improvement, communicating outcomes or barriers, and supporting QAPI initiatives through actions and attitude. Additionally, the RN must understand and promote Trauma Informed Care by fostering a culture of safety, empowerment, and healing, recognizing potential past trauma in individuals, and protecting survivors from re-traumatization. Participation in annual compliance and ethics training, adherence to the code of conduct, and reporting of concerns are also essential.
