About The Position

The RN role requires a Maine-licensed registered nurse with critical care experience. The nurse must be able to provide safe, competent care in high-stress situations and work effectively as part of a team. Staff must be trained and demonstrate competency in applying restraints, implementing seclusion, monitoring and assessing patients, and providing care to patients in restraint or seclusion; the employing agency must validate this competency.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing or a 3-year nursing diploma required.
• Valid State of Maine RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• At least 1 year of previous experience in a critical care setting required.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible and supportive team player.
• Ability to work well in high-stress situations.
• Training and demonstrated competency in restraint application, seclusion implementation, monitoring and assessment, and care for patients in restraint or seclusion; competency must be validated by the employing agency.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
