About The Position

ICON Eyecare is looking for a full time RN for our Lone Tree Practice. ICON Eyecare is a full-service, medical ophthalmology provider offering comprehensive eye care, LASIK, vision correction, and cataract procedures in Denver, Lone Tree, Golden, Westminster and Loveland. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado
Current ACLS certification or ability to get within the first 90 days of employment

Nice To Haves

Current BCLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

Provide direct care to patient.
Address the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.
Assist with the maintenance of PRE-OP/PACU equipment and inventory.
Responsible for monitoring patient’s physiological status in the immediate, pre/postoperative environment.
Communicate with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously, and as needed, about patient conditions.
Intercedes to maintain optimum homeostasis.
Demonstrate knowledge of airway management and procedures and the ability to use the equipment.
Carry out medical/surgical asepsis during treatments and special procedures.
Coordinate patient care: gives explanations and educates patient/family, as necessary.
Protect patient’s sensitivities and right to privacy.
