About The Position

Plans, organizes, coordinates, and provides direct nursing care for an identified group of patients according to specific standards.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
  • Current unrestricted Wisconsin RN license required
  • Excellent customer service, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills required
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required
  • At least one year experience in Med/Surg required (for Critical Care, Emergency Services, Specialty Float, General Float, Medical/Surgical)
  • ACLS required within first year of hire (for Critical Care, Emergency Services, Specialty Float, Prep & Holding/PACU)
  • NRP certification required within first year of hire (for Women's and Children's Center)
  • A minimum of 2 years of RN experience required (for Cancer Center)

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer experience in ER, and/or CCU nursing (for Critical Care)
  • Would consider new graduates with Paramedic experience only (for Emergency Services)
  • PALS and TNCC preferred (for Emergency Services)
  • Prefer one year experience in Med/Surg, Pediatric and/or OB nursing (for Women's and Children's Center)
  • ER &/or CCU experience preferred (for Specialty Float)
  • One year experience in Medical Surgical nursing preferred (for Medical/Surgical)
  • Prefer at least two years experience in CCU, Cardiac Rehab, ER, or in Surgical Services nursing (for Prep & Holding/PACU)
  • Prefer two years experience in Med/Surg and/or Ortho nursing (for Surgery Center/Special Procedures)
  • Ambulatory Per-Anesthesia nursing certificate and ACLS preferred (for Surgery Center/Special Procedures)
  • Prefer two to three years experience in Surgical/Ortho and/or Operating Room nursing (for Surgical Services: Operating Room)
  • Operating Room Nurse certificate preferred (for Surgical Services: Operating Room)
  • Preferred experience in Med/Surg and/or Oncology is preferred (for Cancer Center)
