About The Position

Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. 4C serves the medical cardiac population by managing chronic and acute onset diseases while balancing the need for telemetry and cardiac management. The types of patients we serve are those with multisystem management needs such as heart failure, respiratory distress, unmanageable dysrhythmias, pneumonia, sepsis, COPD, diabetes and gastro-intestinal conditions. We also coordinate management of patients needing cath lab, angio, dialysis, outpatient infusion/chemo, and anti-coagulation therapies.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Frontload Up to 80 Hours for Experienced RNs for full time only
