About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Care Specialist coordinates wound care therapy into the total nursing care plan for patients; participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Current Registered Nursing License for the state in which the employee is working
Current CPR certification and maintains same
Two (2) years direct patient care experience required

Nice To Haves

Certification from approved Wound Care Certification course is preferred
Experience in emergency care, critical care or ET nursing is preferred

Responsibilities
