About The Position
NHC HealthCare St Charles is seeking a passionate and skilled RN/LPN Wound Care Nurse to join their family-oriented team. This role involves assessing and evaluating patients with wounds and injuries, ensuring optimal patient care delivery through wound care nursing procedures, and providing preventative care to avoid infection and complications. Education and coordination with other health professionals are also key aspects of this position.
Requirements
- Must have Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) license or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Must have superior communication skills & be an effective leader
- Must be flexible, caring, compassionate, and a team player
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in wound care preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Primarily responsible for overseeing the Wound Care Measures
- Communicate changes in patients’ conditions to physicians, supervisors, family members, dieticians, and other partners as appropriate.
- Be a go-to-person for partner support
- Ability to educate partners by conducting in-services and one on one learning
- Ability to investigate, track and trend identified areas of opportunities
- Provide partner support and coaching
- Passion for wound care and healing patients
- On call rotation with other nurse managers
