The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, directs, implements, and assists to provide quality patient care for assigned patients. This role involves modifying nursing care, administering medications, and planning for patient discharge. The nurse will provide education tailored to individual patient needs, monitor patient conditions, record and report symptoms, and intervene when necessary. A key aspect of the role is performing complete data collection, collaborating with patients on treatment goals, and ensuring appropriate discharge planning with family involvement. The nurse will document accurately in medical records, utilize multi-disciplinary team strategies, and maintain accurate reports and records. This position requires working collaboratively with physicians, departments, staff, patients, and visitors, anticipating changes in patient condition or equipment malfunctions, and modifying treatment plans as needed. The role also involves coordinating patient care and transfers in accordance with EMTALA regulations and performing additional department-specific functions.
