This position involves utilizing the nursing process to care for patients, maintaining accurate patient records, and documenting assessments including physical, psychological, and social dimensions, as well as discharge plans. The role requires communication of pertinent data to allied patient care providers and proficiency in the charge nurse role and Computerized Nursing Informatics. The RN will act as a resource person for patient care, staff orientation, and teaching. Participation in unit staff meetings, mandatory programs, and Patient Care Assessment Committee (PCAC) activities is expected. The role involves identifying aspects of patient care, monitoring quality and appropriateness of care, and adhering to safety policies. Professional development is key, including assessing learning needs, documenting activities, and updating knowledge of techniques and regulations. The RN will represent the hospital positively in the community and within the hospital, maintaining confidentiality and marketing services. Other work-related duties as assigned and providing service excellence are also part of the role.
