About The Position

Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. Responsible for prioritizing the delivery of direct nursing care using time and resources efficiently integrating a standards-based framework model. Presbyterian is hiring an RN for our Cardiac Vascular Unit. On our unit we believe in going above and beyond to provide exceptional patient care, this can be seen by our low metrics. Our 36 bed unit is committed to the health of our patients. We are looking for nurses who display attention to detail and demonstrate Cardiac and Vascular knowledge. This progressive care unit is a step-down unit in the Heart and Vascular program dedicated to the special care required for patients who are recovering from vascular/cardiac surgeries, and are working towards specializing. We are a Telemetry acuity unit committed to the health of not only our patients but the well-being of our staff. This evergreen posting supports ongoing and future hiring needs.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Nursing required.
  • State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
  • Degree from accredited academic nursing program preferred.
  • Required Certification from either AHA, ASHI, or Red Cross.
  • BLS: All RN roles
  • ACLS: Emergency Department, Critical Care, Cardiovascular Lab, GI Lab, Interventional Radiology, Progressive Care, Surgical Services Pre-Op and Recovery Room
  • NRP: Family Birthing Center, Labor and Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, Mother/Baby Care
  • PALS: Children Services, Cardiovascular Lab, Emergency Department, GI Lab, Interventional Radiology, Surgical Services Pre-Op and Recovery Room
  • EPIC electronic charting system

  • Providing exceptional patient care on a 36-bed Cardiac Vascular Unit.
  • Displaying attention to detail and demonstrating Cardiac and Vascular knowledge.
  • Providing special care for patients recovering from vascular/cardiac surgeries on a progressive care, step-down unit.
  • Committing to the health of patients and the well-being of staff on a Telemetry acuity unit.
