About The Position

A licensed Registered Nurse accountable to assess and identify the vascular access needs of the patient, coordinate and provide services for peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) placement in the hospital setting and for outpatient referrals, and to serve as a resource to staff for ongoing monitoring, maintenance and management of potential catheter-related complications. Practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Valley Children's Hospital policies.

Requirements

  • Program Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position.
  • RN - Registered Nurse License - CA-BRN - California Board of Registered Nursing.
  • Minimum two (2) years Related clinical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • College Degree - 4 year Nursing
  • PICC Certification
  • Minimum three (3) years (preferred)
  • Bilingual Skills Preferred.
