About The Position
Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking a full-time RN Unit Supervisor for the Cardiac Vascular Neuro ICU. This is a 16-bed unit focusing on Vascular and Neuro patient population. This is a night shift position (7:00pm-7:30am). A Unit Supervisor at Inova is a front-line leader accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to Quality and Best Practices to improve clinical operations of the unit. They embrace, use, and understand the research behind nursing practice and quality tools, and support unit-based shared governance and decentralized decision-making structures and processes. They are a role model who leads by example in delivering “Service Always” and in making Patient Experience a priority on unit(s) of responsibility, seeking every opportunity to meet the unique needs of each person. They ensure patient-centered care, continually pursue activities that will ensure smooth clinical operations/flow and compliance with Inova's goals of providing safe, equitable, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and effective care in a holistic and evidence-based practice environment. They value and promote collegial working relationships within and among disciplines. They are an engaging team member empowered to support Inova’s “People Priority” by providing genuine acts of caring, appreciation, recognition, coaching, mentoring and encouragement to all members of the care team, in order to further enculturate Inova's care delivery model and results for all of Inova's strategic priorities. Requirements
- Minimum of one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience
- BSN or Associate Degree RNs that are within one year of obtaining their BSN
- BLS required
- ACLS within 90 days
- Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse
- Completion of RN Unit Supervisor and Charge Nurse Training within 3 months
Nice To Haves
- 2 years of ICU RN experience
- Charge nurse or Supervisory experience
