About The Position

Join Southcoast Health, a not-for-profit, charitable, health system with multiple hospitals, clinics and facilities throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We are searching for a talented RN-Unit PD Level II to work in the Operating Room at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA. This is a per diem position with varied start times, 8-hour shifts, and 16 to 24 hours per week as needed. The role involves coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching, and providing leadership within an assigned patient care unit. The ideal candidate will have the skills to provide age-appropriate care.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
One plus years of experience is required.
OR experience required.
ACLS certification required or with in 6 months of hire.
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Responsibilities

Coordinating total nursing care for patients
Participating in patient and family teaching
Providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit
Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served.
