The Registered Nurse Unit Manager, RN is responsible for performing professional supervision, guidance, and direction to staff in both clinical and personnel issues on the Long-Term Care Unit. This role involves developing and maintaining nursing practice and standards consistent with the facility's philosophy, representing the Nursing Department to other departments, and coordinating services. The position requires coordinating resident care in accordance with State DOH regulations, providing support to residents and families, ensuring staff adherence to safety and infection control guidelines, and assisting in establishing daily operations of resident care, including showers/baths, toileting, meals, medication administration, and activities. Communication with the Interdisciplinary Team is crucial to ensure resident/family needs are met. Daily rounds, resident assessments (admission, elopement, pain, etc.), developing and documenting care plans, and monitoring the effectiveness of care plans are key responsibilities. The role also involves preparing resident assignments for CNAs, communicating resident care needs, monitoring CNA activities and documentation, and communicating pertinent resident findings to the Interdisciplinary Team. The RN Unit Manager will also assist other staff, orient new nursing personnel, and perform other related duties as assigned. Betsy Ross Nursing & Rehab Center is a 120-bed facility offering rehabilitation and skilled nursing care, recently renovated, under new management and administration, with a focus on personalized care, respect, and compassion.
