About The Position

This position provides primary care to patients, including assessment, treatment, care planning, and medical care evaluation. Use your nursing experience in a role where your clinical judgment makes a difference—one call at a time. Logan Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Triage Call Center team. In this role, you’ll use your nursing knowledge, critical-thinking skills, and clinical judgment to assess patient concerns over the phone, determine the appropriate next steps, and help patients navigate their care safely and confidently. This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative position for an RN who enjoys problem-solving, patient education, and making informed clinical decisions.

Requirements

  • Current Montana RN license or multi-state compact RN license with authorization to practice in Montana
  • Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience in a medical setting such as a hospital, clinic, or physician office
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR certification
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal communication and patient education skills
  • Ability to prioritize urgent patient needs and make sound clinical decisions
  • Strong documentation, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, telephone-based patient care environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively while also exercising independent nursing judgment

Responsibilities

  • Provide telephone-based clinical triage and symptom assessment
  • Use your nursing judgment to determine the appropriate level of care and next steps
  • Review patient histories and document interactions accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Collaborate with providers and other members of the clinical care team
  • Educate patients and provide clear, easy-to-understand instructions regarding their care
  • Identify, prioritize, and appropriately respond to urgent and high-risk patient concerns
  • Manage patient messages, routing, follow-up, and escalation as appropriate
  • Coordinate care and communicate important clinical information to providers
  • Work efficiently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced call center environment
  • Help ensure patients receive safe, timely, and compassionate guidance when they need it most
